Kat Von D Lock It Revolution VoxBox Reveal

So I finally have a moment of free time. Life has been so hectic with school and work.  But this box has been something fun to play with amidst the chaos. It came with 2 concealers, 1 swtting powder, a concealer brush and a setting powder brush. These products are freaking awesome! The concealer brush applies this full coverage concealer perfectly. The setting powder is so lightweight you forget it's on. But it is also build-able without becoming cakes. The brush for the setting powder was my favorite item by far. Are you or aren't you Posh?

So lately I've seen a lot of buzz about all of this Posh stuff. I'm always skeptical of these small beauty companies, many have pushy reps and drive you crazy with social media posts, it makes you wonder if it isn't just hype. Well I've met one rep in particular who sent me a bunch of samples to try and let you know my honest opinion. I love to find the good in things, but I also won't hesitate to tell you what I think needs to be changed or just avoided all together. So with that, below are a couple of items I have tried. Oh and keep your eye out, because when I said a bunch I meant it, this is only a start because I think things need to be tried a while before you can give a true opinion.

Bless Your Heart Chunk: So this is a chunk soap bar for bathing that smells like those good ole southern peaches and cream. Can I just stop and say I LOVE the scent of this soap. I'm really not a bar soap gal, I'm a gel girl all the way, but I did love this. It had a great lather (even on my sponge!) and it didn't leave my skin feeling dry. The only downside for me was that the scent didn't stay after I rinsed it off. I went out and bought a different girlie glycerin bar soap from Target that smelled like conversation hearts and it didn't leave a scent either. If you prefer not to have scent once you step out of the shower, it's perfect for you. Honestly I would give this 4.8 stars just because of the scent thing. It's actually a great soap and bottom line, it cleans!

Hunk Chunk: I know this soap is for men. I tried to get my hubby to try it, but alas, he a Dial soap fan and insists on everything antibacterial. Of course, this means another soap for me to try! I liked it. I love that manly smell, it's always robust and honestly, my man always smells amazing at the end of a hard day. I don't get it. Well this soap smells great, it has a decent lather and with this one, the scent faintly lingers after rinsing! Yay! If you're looking to surprise or gift your hubby, SO, man friends, I would definitely recommend this be added to the list. And don't wait, it's an awesome bar! A 5-star if you ask me.
Bonus: The bar is pretty snazzy for a guy too!

Lil Snarky Big Fat Yummy Hand Creme: There is nothing Lil about this scent. It's definitely one that could keep you on the fence in the scent department. My hubby didn't like it, to me it made me think of Sex and the City. When getting down to the nitty gritty, it works pretty well, although it didn't leave my hands feeling moisturized for as long as I'd have liked. The scent did last tho! Did I mention that I love the smell of this?! It's great for putting you in the mood! *wink, wink* Definitely a 4.8 stars in my little book.

Fresh Creamy Milk from the SkinDelicious Line: This stuff smells amazing! Yes, I'm starting off with the smells. It's the biggest deal breaker for me! This is a body butter. I've tried it on my hands, elbows, knees, legs and feet. A little bit goes a long way with this body butter. If you're looking for something that definitely lasts longer than 15 min. in the winter this is the way to go. I've had it on my hands for over an hour and they are still moisturized! The same went for my elbows and knees. We all know legs and feet will follow suit with the rest. It smells like fresh milk with a hint of coconut milk. It's a pleasing scent that does last. Way to go Posh, another 5 stars from me! Unfortunately I believe this is also one of the ones they took out of their spring line. So time to find me a new scent!

The Caffeinator: This is supposed to tighten, brighten and add zing. For me, I felt the zing...but unfortunately I didn't see or feel any tightening or brightening. If you're looking for a quick wake up, it will do that for a minute or two. It definitely smells like lemons in a good way tho. So I am sad to say I would only give this 1 star.

Night and Day: I'm a little iffy on the scent. However, it definitely leaves my face feeling moisturized. Something I'm starting to need as I'm *gulp* getting older. It's a thicker cream when applying but another one of those, a little bit goes a long way items. So far I would recommend this. I would write more but I'm still trying to get used to using a moisturizer on my face. This is a first for me, but this is a new path I'm venturing on. Don't wait til your mid 30's to start this routine. Go ahead and pick one of these up. Even if you only do it once a day, your face will actually thank you. Mine is swearing at me for not doing it sooner. This is definitely a 5 star since I don't feel like my face has really had a negative reaction to it (ie. breakouts).

Help! My Eyelashes have ran away!

I kid, I kid, but seriously, Influenster sent me a Marc Jacobs Vox Box and I am in awe. It was the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara. and my eye lashes do look like they're running away (because they are soo freaking long). It's amazing. The name says it all. They are velvety soft with this mascara and they look pretty natural when I'm not going for an evening look. This mascara adds volume and length. It has become my new go to mascara. I still love trying new mascaras, but this is a staple, a must have if you will. It is worth every penny you would be paying. I don't like dishing moola out for mascara typically but when this runs out, I will be. If that doesn't speak volumes I don't know what does. Especially since I am a penny pincher. There are pics on my IG if you want to see and soon I'll be doing comparisons and what not. But in the meantime just check out my IG or if we're close my FB. This is now a mascara you'll see in 99% of the time! Yay! Talk about some epic lashes!

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells

Ohhhh Yesssss! I received the Jinglevoxbox from @Influenster! Yay! It is totally amazing! It had an itty bitty Spiderman from Hallmark. My son won't even let me touch it. He goes around hiding it over and over saying Santa has left him a new toy. (He's so cute at times it kills) There were 3 snack size packs of Biscoff coffee cookies. I've had to hide these from my husband. We both love them! I eat them on my way to work and dear hubby likes them dipped in milk. Also included were KISS eyelashes and adhesive. They look amazing, but I haven't had a chance to try them yet. We are a stay at home kind of family. But since yesterday was our Anniversary, I will be finding a reason soon! They also included a black NYC City Proof 24HR Eyeliner. It's amazing! It stays on all day and night! That I can definitely get behind! LOVE! And to help stay moisturized they included a small jar of @Cetaphil. Let me tell you, it is amazing. I have those elbows that get dry and rough, my son likes to mess with them and make growling noises. Annoying, yet funny, but after applying the creme twice, he is no longer messing with my elbows! That definitely makes this momma happy. It's also great for making your hands look amazing when applying the Pure Ice Nail polish that they included. The color of the polish I received was Home Run, it is a mint green shade. I've never tried Pure Ice polish, but I will be trying out more now. The nail polish felt so slick once it dried, the application was very smooth and the formula is quick drying. It only took one good coat instead of the normal 2-3 it takes with some polishes. To attest to how amazing it is, I wore it to work (I'm a cashier at Michael's), I had 3 different people ask my about nail color and where to buy it. One even took the time to write it down because she wanted to get it for her daughter. Talk about feeling like a million bucks by the time my shift was over. You just can't beat compliments! The last thing in my voxbox was a coupon for a free bag of Ore Ida tator tots. Yay! I love free food, especially when it's something my minion enjoys as well! I can't wait to try a mexican taco salad type recipe I saw on pinterest with these. Yummmy!
So with that said, the Jingle Vox Box was a huge hit in my household. Thank you so much influenster! (All reviews are 100% my own)

Life Overload

Hey Everyone! Sorry it's been a while. Just a quick update! So in case anyone didn't know, we are in the process of getting a house built. YAY! However, OMG, My nerves are shot. This is definitely a different kind of stress than I am used to. haha. But it's almost done! About a month to go! Pictures are on FB and IG. I will have a place to keep my laptop up all the time! Yay! This means more blogging! And so I have to give a special shoutout to Noelle Owings for requesting a jewelry set! I have been making jewelry for over 10 years. But haven't done anything with it since moving to NC. Well that's not true, I've worn it! hahaha So with that said. I will also be posting pieces that I make once we move as well. So if you are interested in something you see, or something you see out shopping. Give me a shout! I have made replica pieces. But until January I may not be on here as much. Hope that's not the case, but if it is... I hope ya'll have a very Merry Christmas! Hasta la vista baby! I'm off to wrap gifts, design jewelry and packing! Fun, FUn, FUN!

Yves Saint Laurent - Rouge Pur Couture

So yesterday I received my complimentary Vox Box from Influenster and it contained 2 #YSL Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks. They were Fuchsia and Rose Stiletto. Talk about beautiful! I'm not talking just about the packaging either. The color is amazing and has great staying power! Bonus: Once again YSL makes something that smells like ROSES! Eeeeek this is me getting uber excited. YES YES YES their lipstick smells like roses. I have never found an actual lipstick that smelled decent until now. Not only does it smell like heaven it feels so good on. It goes on silky smooth with a very rich texture once applied. I am in love with a lipstick! I've been in love with a lipgloss before but never a lipstick. Yay! I have to admit the Rose Stiletto is my favorite but only because I'm just starting to break out past the nudes. Although everyone on my facebook seems to like both. Tell me... what do you think? Yay or Nay?

YSL Touche Eclat

Hey everyone, Back again with something fun that I was able to try out! A few days ago Influenster sent me a YSL Vox Box to try out for you that contained the YSL Touche Eclat Primer and Blur. For the most part they are amazing both alone and with make up! They leave your face looking and feeling as smooth as velvet. It's like make-up in a box as my friend Aireal said when she saw the change as I applied it. So not only do you look amAzing, you also smell amazing! The primer smells like rose water! (If you've never smelled that, think of a rose garden in a bottle!) So those are the amazing things about the Touche Eclat, there is one downfall that I did find. When I went to take off all my make-up last night, something I had forgotten to do the night before, I noticed that my pores were awful! :( Not cool. I have a very oily T-zone, so this happens easily for me, it may not be that for everyone tho. However, in my humble opinion, that's what face masks are for! I still love my #YSLToucheEclat and will continue using and buying once I run out! Go try it today!
